Lets start a 1M per year profitable business in 3 days - part 2
Setting up shop with $64 total expenses and in less than 30 minutes
Hi, thanks for joining me again today. We started a new series yesterday and our focus was on building a 1m per year business with little capital investment, no overhead cost, no staff and no need to hire a developer. We identified a high selling item yesterday that ticked the following boxes:
Is in high demand
Cheap and used every single day by billions of people
Satisfies our logical needs
Satisfies our social needs
Satisfies our self esteem needs
Satisfies our self actualisation needs
Now, just to remind ourselves, why is our ideal product required to meet all these criteria? The simple answer is that there is a large market and it solves a pain which people must solve. It addresses a logical need so people have a reason to buy it then it goes ahead to satisfy our social, self actualization and self esteem needs. This is how you identify killer products that you can build a million Dollar business around. We arrived at a product which ticked all the boxes- shoes.
Now that we have our ideal product, today we are focusing on starting your online shop with no code. We are going to set up an online shoe shop without coding and we’ll do it without hiring a developer plus we’ll do it in 24 hours plus we’ll spend a total of $30.
Now let’s dig in.
Here are the entire expenses broken down:
web hosting: $29
Domain name: $6 per for the first year
Theme: $29 one time fee
That’s a total of $64
That’s all the hard work because once you’ve gotten the hosting and domain name set up, the theme has a one click demo content install. What that means is that you’ll not have to bother about designing a beautiful website. All you need to do is to import an already made beautiful website and you just have to replace the products with your shoe images, because we are selling shoes and the second thing you need to do is to change the payment details so you can receive payment directly into your bank account. That or you set up an online payment gateway which usually takes around 5 minutes and no need to code.
Congratulations, with $64 you are set to build a 1m per annum business.
Now is a good time to remind you what our plans and goals are:
Build something useful/needed (we’ve identified an ideal product. If you still don’t get how we arrived at shoes, I’ll recommend you revisit our previous post, the part 1 and read it again then go ahead to read this part 2 again)
Hustle to get your first few sales (this is what we’ll jump into next, we’ll focus on getting sales right off the start. It’s important that you make sales early because that’s what gives you the motivation to power through and it gives you a kind of confidence knowing that this works) After we are done with this, the remaining 3 sections are:
Getting testimonials
Using the reviews to attract more sales
Keep building and adding value until you hit 1M in profit
